We had some REAL fun today! Cardboard boxes,  old blankets, loads of newspaper and seven really excited children! Jerry, the professional photographer who runs the Perfect Portrait Co located in Weymouth town centre and who is giving his time and skill completely free of charge to help make the project successful, had the whole thing under control and the children responded like real pro's! The 'We Are One' group, is formed of Maddie -writer and lead vocal, Anastasia, Rebecca, Sacha and Sian. The girls were joined on the shoot by two of their friends, Holly and Tom who were playing the part of young children who had found themselves sleeping rough after leaving home because of problems in their lives that they had felt were too big to deal with. It was a very convincing performance and without doubt these two will be up for Oscars at some point in the future!  Needless to say that the shoot was a complete success with everyone playing their part to the fullest on the day - and Jerry was the first to say how much he had enjoyed doing the shoot with such professionals!

Setting up this scene was a poignant reminder to all of the children as to why they had taken on this challenging project. If only more calls could be answered every day then there could easily be far less runaway children living rough on our streets!
